There is honestly so much I could say about Ms. Evans. I was previously married to an abusive narcissist and was in the middle of ongoing custody disputes because my daughter was not receiving the care she truly needed. For years, every time I tried to explain what was happening, I felt like I sounded crazy. Anyone who has dealt with a narcissist knows how skilled they can be at hiding their true nature from others. By that point, I had already spent years fighting for my daughter, and the cost of bringing in a new attorney and getting them up to speed on everything was simply out of reach. Thankfully, Natalya already knew my daughter through her own daughter, and she had seen firsthand some of what we were living through. After years of trying and failing to be fully heard, Natalya stepped in when we needed her most. I had filed everything myself, and on the day of court, she came in and filed temporary representation. That was the day a judge finally truly heard me. She recognized what was really happening and understood that my ex’s need to control every situation was causing both psychological and physical harm to our daughter. After years of trying to fight that battle alone, Natalya stepping in changed everything. There was not a dry eye in the courtroom on my side that day. It was one of the most emotional and life-changing moments of my life. ​ Without Natalya’s friendship, patience, and willingness to step in when it truly mattered, I believe my daughter and I would have remained trapped in an unstable and frightening cycle. Because of her help, we were able to get my daughter to a new doctor who confirmed the medical issues we had long suspected, and we were able to get her into a school where she was finally able to thrive. I truly believe Ms. Evans helped save my daughter in more ways than I can ever express. I will always be grateful for her compassion, her courage, and her willingness to fight for what was right.

We were extremely lucky to work with Natalya professionally. She was hired to represent my husband when it came time to revise the parenting plan in regard to my stepdaughter. We would not be where we are as a family if it had not been for Natalya. Through her guidance we learned the following lessons… -Take emotions out of the decision and remember that our number one focus should always be what is in the best interest of the child. -Don’t get caught up in petty disagreements and remember that the only one who would be hurt by that would be the child. -Arguements don’t have to happen if you have mutual respect. It’s not about agreeing or understanding; it’s about respecting that each parent loves the child. -As long as a child is safe, happy and thriving; it doesn’t matter how each house handles daily life. Since the revision, we have started celebrating the daughter we all share. We have gotten together for holidays, celebrated big moments in our daughter’s life together and we’ve all created an environment where she gets to spend time with her parents together- as a family! This was only made possible because Natalya helped us see that by keeping the child’s needs as our number one priority, we could all win. We had the opportunity to choose from many attorneys when looking to make revisions in the parenting plan. We chose Natalya because she never made it about being adversarial towards his ex-wife. She made it about everyone working together, the best we could, to make sure the child had the best of each parent. While she represented my husband in the court case, she really represented all of us creating an environment where the child truly did thrive. We are so proud to be preparing to celebrate her college graduation all together.

My encounters with Ms. Evans, both when she was in private practice and now as a Magistrate on the bench, have always been extremely professional. We have been adversaries, and I have also tried a case in front of her that may or may not have resulted in the exact outcome my client hoped for.
